Inspire LEX

London-based Inspire LEX is on a mission to empower the next generation of changemakers. Through unfiltered storytelling, mentoring, and lived experiences (LEX), they help young people from underrepresented backgrounds see new possibilities for their future. Recognising that success isn’t a straight line, they create space for truth, growth, and authentic representation.

The challenge

Inspire LEX’s original DIY logo, featuring illustrative figures, aimed to reflect diversity but lacked cohesion, clarity, and flexibility. It limited the brand’s ability to stand alongside cultural institutions while connecting with Gen Z audiences. The challenge was to craft an identity that felt bold and disruptive yet professional, scalable, and rooted in their mission.

Illustrative style is not scalable or responsive. It loses clarity at small sizes. Looks dated & unpolished

Creative direction

The new identity is unapologetically youthful, energetic, and expressive. Lime and navy form the core palette, lime for its punchy, fresh visibility, and navy for balance and professionalism. The refined logo combines a bold sans-serif wordmark with a dynamic burst asterisk, symbolising expression, possibility, and the idea that “there’s more to the story.” Together, these elements reflect Inspire LEX’s commitment to lived experience and unseen journeys, nodding to Gen Z aesthetics - vibrant, editorial, and story-driven, while remaining timeless and credible.

Designed for flexibility and impact, the Inspire LEX logo balances expressiveness with stability. The burst asterisk is more than a graphic detail: it embodies the brand’s mission of amplifying youth voices and untold stories, while the confident wordmark anchors the identity.

Colouring the brand

The colour palette is bold yet balanced. Lemon Zest brings freshness and instant recognition, while navy grounds the system with credibility. Charcoal and stone white add clarity, while coral and sky blue act as expressive accents.

Gradients introduce depth and playfulness, helping the brand flex between professional contexts and youth-led spaces.

The outcome

The Inspire LEX identity scales seamlessly across digital, print, and event environments. Lime dominates in social and youth-facing contexts for maximum impact, while navy offers balance in professional and corporate settings. More than just a logo, the system creates a complete visual ecosystem, bold yet intentional, fresh yet professional. It positions Inspire LEX as a cultural force and catalyst for youth voices, ready to inspire and disrupt on a national stage.
