Inspire LEX
Inspire LEX is a youth-focused organisation empowering young people to develop their confidence and skills. My role was to redesign their Squarespace website to align with their new brand identity. The aim was to set strong foundations, ensuring consistency, clarity, and usability, while giving the client the flexibility to update and expand the site independently in the future.
Pain points before
Before the redesign, Inspire LEX’s website lacked consistency with the brand’s identity. Colours were used randomly, reducing legibility and accessibility. Pages were cluttered and text-heavy, making information difficult to digest. Content had little breathing space, and navigation was confusing with unnecessary pages. Copy was not SEO-friendly, limiting visibility on search engines.

The strategic fix
The redesign applied Inspire LEX’s brand colours consistently, refined image layouts for stronger visual impact, and introduced SEO-friendly, concise copy. Page structures were simplified to create more breathing space, while the sitemap and navigation were streamlined for easier journeys. These changes improved readability, accessibility, and overall user experience, while setting a strong foundation for future growth.

Wireframe & mockup
Before making changes live, I sketched wireframes and created mockups to visualise the new layouts and structure. This provided a clear visual map to work from, helping me make faster and more precise updates directly in Squarespace.

The impact
Brand consistency
Strengthened credibility with consistent colours, fonts, and design elements.
SEO-friendly
Boosted SEO performance, moving from a 2% to 79% SEO score.
Readability
Increased readability with structured layouts, clear headings, and spacing.
Navigation
Improved navigation with a simplified menu and logical sitemap.
The final product
I delivered a strong, professional website foundation on Squarespace, enabling Inspire LEX to confidently share their site with schools and organisations. The design gives them credibility when applying for funding, while also being simple for the client to update as their programmes grow.
